About Valerie Pearce...
Valerie is a Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Zen Shiatsu, Swedish, Reiki and Deep Tissue therapies in Bend, Oregon. She has had more than 15 years of hands-on experience in her private practices in Santa Cruz, California and Bend.
Valerie received her education and training at Twin Lakes College Healing Arts in Santa Cruz (1993-1996) and the Central Oregon Community College (COCC) Massage Program in Oregon (1998-1999). She continues taking classes to further her education and to keep her license current as required by the Oregon State Board of Massage.
Valerie’s professional experience includes conducting a chair massage business for a local computer company in Santa Cruz for five years; working in several spas in Bend, Redmond, and in Sisters at Black Butte Ranch, Oregon, for four years; supervising massage therapy students from the COCC program with Deby Grant-Bowman; and teaching Crystal Light Therapy© seminars in England.
Valerie has also taught several courses in the COCC Community Education program, including:
• Shiatsu Massage III
• Hand and Foot Massage
• Acupressure for Neck and Shoulders
• Partner Massage
Currently, Valerie is a teaching assistant for the Eastern Theory Class in the Massage Program at COCC.
Valerie has donated her massage services to the Central Oregon community, working with the Sara Fisher Breast Cancer Foundation, and donating massages to local senior citizens and other worthy causes.
